Eligibility criteria
- Have been assessed with Home fee status
- Entering 2nd year or beyond in any undergraduate degree programme at Imperial, excluding MBBS programme.
- Have demonstrated financial need (household income of less than £70,000 per annum as confirmed by Student Finance England (SFE) or equivalent funding authority for the 2024-25 academic year). Your household income must be confirmed by SFE, or equivalent, by 11:59pm Friday 24th May 2024
- Be from an underrepresented community. For the purpose of this scholarship these are: women studying in a field where women are underrepresented in the UK; Black, Asian or other ethnic minority group; students with a disability (as defined in section 6 of the Equality Act 2010); LGBTQ+ community; parents did not attend university (first-generation student)
- Have good academic standing
- Demonstrate an interest to work in healthcare
Application process
1. Complete the online application form by 11:59pm (UK local time) on Friday, 26th April 2024
2. Complete an application to Student Finance England, or equivalent funding authority, and have your household income confirmed by 11:59pm (UK local time) Friday 24th May 2024
3. Shortlisted applicants interviewed by Sanofi between 15th July - 26th July 2024
Outcome communicated to successful students by 31st July 2024
Additional information
The Scholarship award is £10,000 per academic year, for a maximum of 3 years, and does not provide funding for repeat years of study or during interruptions of study. The award is to pay for tuition, living expenses, and other expenses such as books or fees directly related to the programme of study. The renewal each year is subject to the students still being enrolled in his/her original course of study and maintaining good academic standing, as well as engaging in Sanofi A Million Conversations training and mentorship program.The applicants will be notified via email no later than end of July 2024 of the result of their application. If you have not heard from us or Sanofi by this date, please assume you have been unsuccessful in your application.
An introductory meeting for Sanofi scholars will be held during the winter term.
