Eligibility criteria
There is one scholarship available for a student studying the full-time MRes in Machine Learning and Big Data in the Physical Sciences in the Department of Physics, Faculty of Natural Sciences.The scholarship is available to students with either a Home or Overseas fee status.
Eligible applicants must have received an offer to study the full-time MRes in Machine Learning and Big Data in the Physical Sciences by 11:59 pm (UK local time), Friday, 24 May 2024.
To be eligible, applicants must be available to commence their academic studies in the UK by the start of the UK academic year in October 2024.
Please note: This scholarship is not available to continuing students.
Application process
How to applyTo apply you must submit a College application form for your course in the Department of Physics on the full-time MRes in Machine Learning and Big Data in the Physical Sciences and have an offer of admission by the deadline of 11:59 pm (UK local time), Friday, 24 May 2024.
Assessment
The Department of Physics will rank the applicants who meet the above conditions per academic merit and/or potential based on your College application.
Value of the Award
The successful Scholar will receive a cash bursary £7,500 to be paid towards tuition fees. The award is for a maximum of 1 year, and cannot be used for repeat periods of study.
Outcome of the Award
The successful candidates will be notified by email no later than 31 July 2024. If you have not heard from us by this date, please assume you have been unsuccessful in your application.
This award is for students starting in the academic year 2024-25 and cannot be deferred. All scholarships are awarded subject to students accepting award Terms and Conditions.
