Course overview

Further your understanding of biological sciences on this four-year course, which includes a final year spent with the Imperial College Business School. 

You'll explore the behaviour of living systems from the level of cells up to whole organisms and ecosystems.

Your studies will be complemented by a dedicated Life Science Skills programme where you'll receive training in quantitative skills, programming, statistics, and scientific writing and presentation.

The second year offers you the chance to specialise across a series of optional modules, in areas including ecology, environmental science and biodiversity.

An extended research project is a key focus of your third year, providing you with an opportunity to apply scientific methods to real-world life science problems.

Through laboratory, computational and field work you'll also acquire the skills to design, carry out and analyse data from biological experiments.

Your final year will be spent with the Imperial College Business School, with an emphasis on preparing you for leadership roles.

This year will help you develop expertise in accounting, entrepreneurship and marketing as you build your appreciation of the management culture of business organisations.
