Imperial College London has been informed by UAT-UK and our test provider, Pearson VUE, about a security incident in China involving a limited number of questions from the October TMUA sitting.
We are reassured that UAT-UK and Pearson VUE are taking this matter seriously and are actively investigating.
We’re also aware of social media posts about this issue; most of which are factually inaccurate.
We have received reassurances from UAT-UK and Pearson VUE, that whilst the investigation is ongoing, there is no reason for us to believe that this limited impact should undermine our confidence in the overall results. This is because there are robust systems in place to identify irregular test performance.
Please be reassured that we are working directly with UAT-UK and Pearson VUE and will take appropriate action once the limited impact is understood.
Thank you to everyone who has already provided feedback to us on this matter. We will update this page with the latest information as we receive it, so checking this web page is the best way to stay informed for now, rather than contacting the university directly.
We also recommending visiting the UAT-UK test results page for the most up to date information and advice.
