Results for qualifications we should receive automatically

UCAS should automatically send us the results for the following qualifications:

  • A-level
  • Pre-U Certificate
  • International Baccalaureate
  • Irish Leaving Certificates
  • Scottish Advanced Highers
  • STEP

You don't need to send us these results yourself. If we don't receive your results from UCAS, we will contact you.

For October 2025 entry, the deadline for submitting the above results and meeting all offer conditions is 3 September 2025.


Results you must send us for verification

If you are studying a qualification not included in the list above, we will ask you to submit details of your qualifications, such as transcripts or result certificates, by email to our Admissions teams as soon as you receive them. 

We will confirm the deadline for these results in your offer conditions.

If you do not send proof of your qualifications by the deadline, this will delay confirmation decisions. Your offer could be rejected if you miss the deadline. 

Do not send any certificates or documents by post. We can only accept evidence of your qualifications by email. 

How to contact our Admissions teams

You must send your results to the following Admissions team for your course by email. Don’t forget to include your UCAS number in your email.

Engineering Admissions

If you have already posted your documents to us, email the relevant Admissions team to let them know and attach any electronic copies of your results.


Completed qualifications

If you have already completed certain qualifications towards the entry requirements at the point at which you apply, if made an offer, you will be required to send us evidence of these qualifications.

For October 2025 entry, you must send evidence of these qualifications to the relevant Admissions team by 24 July 2025.


Submitting your English language test results

For October 2025 entry, if you take one of the following tests to meet your English language offer condition, you must send your results to us by email by 24 July 2025.

  • IELTS
  • IELTS indicator
  • TOEFL
  • Pearson
  • Cambridge Advanced/Proficiency
  • Duolingo English 

We verify your test results online. 

When you submit your test results, you must send the following details for your test:

  • IELTS: your Test Report Form Number or a scanned copy of your certificate.
  • IELTS Indicator: your IELTS Indicator Score Check ID (a 15-character ID).
  • TOEFL: your 16-digit registration number or a scanned copy of your certificate.
  • Pearson: send your scores to Imperial directly from your PearsonPTE account and email your Admissions team to confirm that you have referred your results.
  • Cambridge Advanced and Proficiency Tests: your result certificate.
  • Duolingo English tests: refer your results to Imperial from your Duolingo portal and email your Admissions team with your linked results.

Other English language qualifications

If you have completed any other accepted English language qualifications, you will need to email the results to the relevant Admissions team.


Proof of ATAS clearance

Certain courses at Imperial require students to obtain clearance from the UK government’s Academic Technology Approval Scheme (ATAS) as part of the entry requirements.

If this applies to you, it will be included in your offer conditions. You will need to request an ATAS certificate before you apply for your student visa. 

An ATAS certificate is valid for 6 months from the date it is issued, to give you time to apply for your visa.

If you have an ATAS condition as part of your offer, you should submit your ATAS application as soon as possible from 1 April 2025.

Once your clearance has been obtained, ATAS will send a copy of your certificate directly to Imperial.

For October 2025 entry, ATAS clearance must be submitted to the relevant by 24 July 2025.

Minors Declaration if you are under 18 years old at the start of your course

If you will be under 18 years of age at the start of your course, a Minor's Declaration will be included as a requirement in your offer conditions.

For October 2025 entry, Minor's declarations must be submitted to the relevant by 24 July 2025.


Disclosure and Barring Service (MBBS applicants)

Medical students are required to obtain a certificate of enhanced disclosure from the UK Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) on entry to Imperial's School of Medicine.

A DBS Certificate is a document containing information held by the police and government departments. The DBS, an executive agency of the Home Office, provides these certificates.

For October 2025 entry, DBS clearance must be submitted to the by 30 June 2025.

The completed DBS Certificate application is forwarded to the DBS for immediate processing and prior to fulfilment of any other offer conditions.

If you have never lived in the UK, you will not be required to complete a DBS application prior to entry but you are required to provide a Certificate of Good Conduct from your government or police force.

Submitting amended grades as a result of an appeal

For October 2025 entry, the deadline for submitting amended grades following an appeal is 31 August 2025.

Official proof of the amended grades must be emailed to the relevant Admission team.


Mitigating circumstances

We will not normally consider mitigating circumstances unless you submit evidence to Imperial before you sit your exams.

For October 2025 entry, mitigating circumstances must be submitted to your relevant Admissions team by 24 July 2025.
