Part-time courses involve committing yourself to study for a period of two to three years, and it's natural to be concerned about any changes that may arise in your professional or personal life over this time. In this section, we will explain the options open to you, and advise you on how to get the right support.

Masters induction week

It is not always convenient for part-time students, particularly those from overseas, to attend the Master’s induction programmes that are held at the beginning of the academic year. This guide aims to pass on some of the information you might have missed from the induction process so that you can make the most of your time at Imperial.

For other information please visit the New students webpage, which includes details on registration, arrivals and induction. You can also speak to your programme coordinator.

The structure of part-time programmes

Imperial's part-time programmes are designed to combine fixed teaching modules with online study that you can complete remotely in your own time. Some courses feature more extensive online learning than others.

Your programme administrator will advise you of the dates of face-to-face teaching modules before the beginning of the academic year to enable study leave to be booked.

Accommodation during modules

A list of local hotels that offer Imperial students and visitors accommodation at reduced rates is available. To secure a reservation, please call our Reservations team on +44 (0) 20 7594 9511 or complete the online booking form. You can also email on reservations@imperial.ac.uk.
