The 2020-21 survey ran between Friday 11 December and Monday 8 February and was open to all non-final year undergraduates and all taught postgraduate students.
The total number of responses was 4,173, a response rate of 28.4%. The 100% completion rate was 17.0%.

The 2019-20 survey ran between Wednesday 27 November and Monday 3 February and was open to all non-final year undergraduates and all research postgraduate students.
The total number of responses was 3,079, a response rate of 25.6%. The 100% completion rate was 16.9%.

The 2018-19 survey was run between Wednesday 5 December 2018 and Monday 4 February 2019 and was open to all non-final year undergraduates and all taught postgraduate students.
The total number of responses was 3,209, a response rate of 27.0%. The 100% completion rate was 18.3%.

The 2017/18 Student Experience Survey was open to a total of 8,289 students between Friday 8 December 2017 and Sunday 11 February 2018.
The total number of responses was 1,868, a response rate of 22.5%. The 100% completion rate was 17.3%.

The 2016/17 survey ran from Friday 25 November 2016 until Sunday 5 February 2017. The survey was sent to all non-final year undergraduate students and all taught postgraduate (Master's) students.

Phase one
This phase of the survey ran from Monday 9 November until Sunday 22 November. The survey was sent to all first year undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Phase two
Phase two of the survey was open between Monday 14th March and Sunday 3rd April 2016. The survey was sent to undergraduate students in their penultimate year of study and second year research postgraduate students.

Action plan updates
In September 2016 Support Services were asked to provide updates on their action plans. These were discussed by the Vice-Provost's Advisory Group for Education and are available here: Student Experience Survey Action Plans.
All students in all years were surveyed for the 2013/14 SES. The survey was concerned with the pastoral and welfare services and facilities provided by the ICU and the College.
