In this highly interactive course we will explore the characteristics of scientific writing, some strategies and "top tips" to enhance your ability to write critically.
Course Information
In preparation for this course you will be asked to prepare a short abstract of your research project, which you will use during the live session, read 2 extracts of writing and browse the presentation (duration: about 60 minutes).
You will receive the credit by completing all pre-course activities and participating in all live session activities.
Notes:
- This course contains basic strategies to improve your scientific writing (e.g. how to structure a piece of scientific writing).
- This course is suggested to 1st year students.
- This course does not cover grammar.
- You will need to upload your abstract by 14h the day before the live session (details are in the Blackboard page). The tutor will add their feedback after the live course.
- You are required to have a camera and a headphone set with microphone to interact with the group during the live session.
