As an Imperial College researcher, you will be used to being innovative and leading your research. These skills are highly sought after both within and outside academia. Moving on from the PhD you are likely to have responsibility for line-management, project delivery and even team leadership. Recognising your current leadership skills will allow attendees to evidence these and develop their leadership abilities further. This course is designed examine leadership theory, practice and the competencies of leaders to identify various leadership styles and develop your approach to leadership.
Course Information
This course includes pre-course activities (50 minutes approx.) to complete before the live course and to engage with during the course: you will receive the credit by participating in all pre-course and course activities.
Pre-course activities (duration about 60 mins) will prepare you for the live session. Live sessions are available on different dates as online interaction or as a face-to-face workshop (both 3 hrs). The live sessions will support you in clarifying the learning and working in pairs/small groups to receive and give peer-feedback on the tasks you completed.
Optional post course resources (30 mins approx.) are designed to review learning and plan your further leadership development.
