- Once you have completed your exams for a particular academic year, including any written work (e.g. dissertation), your work will be marked.
- These marks will be considered at a Board of Examiners meeting, which will confirm your formal grades and, if you are a final year student, your overall degree classification.
- These decisions are based on the mark scheme for your course, which is set by your department/division or course organiser. They will make you aware of this at the start of the course.
- Once your results have been agreed they will be sent to the Registry, and will be uploaded onto your record.
- You will receive an email when your results are available to view in the My Imperial student portal. We aim to release results within a week of receiving them from departments and course organisers, depending on when they are sent to us and how many other results we have to process.
- If you are taking a part-time postgraduate degree, you may not receive any results until the end of your final year.
- Please visit the Request an Official Document page for information on how to get formal confirmation of results or degree.
