To apply for the key worker accommodation, follow the steps below. Please note that accommodation is not confirmed until you have received and signed the tenancy agreement.

Step One: Complete and submit the application form

Please complete the online application form. Due to popular demand, your application will be added to a waiting list. 

 You’ll be asked to confirm some key details, which will enable us to check that you are eligible. This includes:

  • Job title and employer
  • Total gross salary

You must ensure that you complete all the required fields. If information is missing from your application we will contact you, but your application will be deemed incomplete until all information is provided.

Step Two: Your application is reviewed

Your application will be reviewed and will be subject to the allocation and eligibility criteria which was agreed at Provost’s Board. 

If you are eligible, but no apartments are available, you will be added to Clayworks list of eligible applicants and notified when an apartment becomes available.

Step Three: Reference checks and tenancy agreement

Before you can sign a tenancy agreement, you’ll need to provide us with the following documentation to confirm your eligibility status:

  • A recent payslip or contract of employment. This will be subject to credit checks
  • A copy of your passport or ID and Visa (if required)
  • Details of two referees, including your current landlord. If you don’t currently rent, you can provide details of a guarantor

You’ll then be asked to sign a 12-month tenancy agreement and pay a deposit (the equivalent of one month's rent), plus one month's rent in advance. Your reservation is then confirmed.

Step Four: Move in

You’ll be given a date to pick up the keys and move in to your new home.

You’ll then be asked to sign a 12-month tenancy agreement and pay a deposit (equivalent of one month's rent) plus your first month’s rent. Your apartment is then confirmed.

How to Apply

Step One: Complete and submit your application form

Please complete the online application form. You'll be asked to confirm some key details which will enable us to check that you're eligible. This includes:

  • Job title and employer
  • Annual salary
  • The room type you would like to apply for.
Step Two: Your application is reviewed

Your application will be reviewed and, if eligible, you will be offered a room in a three-bedroom shared apartment. If all the apartments are occupied, applicants will be added to a waiting list and will be notified when a suitable room becomes available.

Before you can sign a tenancy agreement, you’ll need to provide us with the following documentation to confirm your eligibility status:

  • A recent payslip or contract of employment. This will be subject to credit checks
