Adoption Leave Process
Step 1 to 4
1. Member of staff must inform their line manager of their intention to take leave, giving the required information
2. Member of staff provides matching certificate or parental order and MATB1 to the HR Staff Hub. Member of staff can request a meeting with the HR Staff Hub to discuss leave and pay entitlements further.
3. HR Staff Hub confirm rights in relation to leave, payment and dates of leave
Step 5 to 7
4. Line manager discusses how to stay in touch, including keeping in touch days
5. HR Staff Hub notify the Payroll team of staff member’s leave plan
6. Member of staff commence their adoption/surrogacy leave
