Active learning encompasses and promotes various techniques and activities which can be used to actively involve the student in the learning process. This two-part blended learning course is designed to introduce staff to the basic theories and principles underlying active learning, as well as to the considerations involved in (and practical suggestions for) incorporating active learning strategies into their curriculum.

Who should attend?

The course will be particularly useful for those involved in curriculum design or review activities, pedagogical transformation and innovation, or any members of staff who wish to gain further insight into current learner-centred educational theory and practice. No prior teaching qualifications are required to attend.
