Who should attend?

Staff who want to explore ways of fostering interaction between teacher-student and student-to-student. This workshop provides a forum for sharing experience of interactive teaching, discussing pros and cons and reviewing various techniques. Techniques discussed are applicable to both seminar/tutorial teaching and to large group situations such as lectures. The workshop is primarily concerned with in-person teaching, and those who are designing active online learning may like to consider attending the separate workshop on this subject.

This workshop was developed from workshops previously offered called ‘Teaching Small Groups’ and 'Interactive Large Group Teaching' and shares some content.
