In October EYEC celebrated Harvest. This provided an opportunity for the children to learn and understand where our food comes from and their role in supporting the local community. The parents and children were asked to donate food items which was delivered to the local food bank supporting refugees from Afghanistan.
A group of children also helped deliver the food to the local food bank. The children there listened to a talk about how they would be helping local adults and children and how the food bank operates.
EYEC hopes to be able to support the local charity in the future and help grow the children’s understanding of the role they can play in caring for others.
