Overview
Life and work are increasingly stressful and challenging for everyone. Research shows that self-compassion is a protective factor in a wide range of wellbeing indicators, including psychological health.
Self-compassion training enables us to increase our emotional resilience and self-care. This session focuses on considering our development of self-compassion and how this approach can enable us to be happier, healthier and more resilient at work. It's an introduction to self-compassion theory and practice.
By the end of the session, participants will:
- Be able to practice the key aspects of self-compassion using tips and exercises to promote self-compassion and increase emotional resilience.
- Embed self-compassion and self-care development in their daily life and work.
Further information
- Facilitated discussion in a reflective space.
- Pre-course: Complete a short online test about self-compassion.
