Who should attend
All staff or postgraduate students whose activities involve using Cryogenic Liquids and Liquid Nitrogen should attend this course. This practical course will emphasise the hazards of Liquid Nitrogen, but the principles will apply to other Cryogenic Liquids.
Delegates will also practice manual handling techniques associated with moving a pressure vessel. This should be supplemented with local training, where appropriate. Delegates must wear appropriate footwear, such as sturdy, robust footwear or steel-toecap safety boots.
No trainers or open-toe sandals.
Essential Information - How to book
Delegates must complete the relevant e-learning session, Cryogenic Liquids and Decanting Liquid Nitrogen, before making the booking request.
You will be emailed a unique ID and a link to a booking form on successfully completing the e-learning module.
You must also read the Code of Practice - Liquid Nitrogen - storage, use and transportation within Imperial premises Code of Practice - Liquid nitrogen - storage, use and transportation within College premises.
Cancellation charges apply for this programme: If a delegate cancels the course five days before the first day, we will charge a £50 cancellation fee.
