Ben graduated from the MSc Science Communication in 2008.
"Following a 4 year stint as an undergraduate in Environmental Sciences and before the credit crunch turned the world upside down, I enrolled on the Science Communication course at Imperial College. Why? Well, I was sick and tired of serious issues like climate change, sustainability and social justice falling upon deaf ears. The stories being told were naff and boring. The creativity was lacklustre at best. I wanted to change that. But first, I needed to learn how. The course was exactly what I needed. A year later, I set up Nice and Serious, an ethically-driven creative agency, to make people care about the serious stuff. The agency is still going strong and to this day, I continue to apply all the wonderful things I learned on the course to make the world a nicer place."
