Imperial is participating in Jisc’s read and publish agreement with ACM which runs from 1 January 2023 to 31 December 2025.
This agreement enables all corresponding authors from Imperial College London to publish with ACM journals, conference proceedings and magazines, on a completely open access basis without needing to pay any individual article processing charges (APC). It includes access to the ACM Digital Library, a comprehensive collection of full-text articles and bibliographic records covering the fields of computing and information technology.
To be eligible, articles must:
- be accepted for publication between 1 January 2023 and 31 December 2025 in an eligible ACM publication
- have a corresponding author affiliated with an eligible institution and an email address issued by that institution
- if an author does not wish to publish open access, the corresponding author will need to change the email associated with the paper from an institutionally provided email to a personal email address
The default choice for the corresponding author is to grant ACM the non-exclusive permission to publish and to use a CC-BY license, however, the author may also choose to grant ACM an exclusive license to publish. If granting ACM the non-exclusive permission to publish the author may also choose other CC licenses.
ACM Open is compliant with all known funder mandates, including ESAC’s Transformative Agreement Registry and Plan S.
If you have any questions regarding this agreement or the process, please contact the open access team.
