Navigating the Report -

Pages and Tabs

The dashboard consists of multiple pages and tabs. You are able to switch between them using the navigation tabs on the left of the report.

Each page represents a different view or aspect of the data, so make sure to explore all of them.

Filters

On the right-hand side of the report, you will see a filters pane. These filters allow you to refine the data shown in the report.

To apply a filter, click on the dropdown menu next to a field, select your criteria, and the visuals will automatically update.

Drillthrough Action -

This is a powerful feature that lets you dive deeper into the data by moving from a summary view to a more detailed view.

  • Right-click on a data point, visual, or chart that you need further detail on
  • If drillthrough is enabled on that report, you will see an option labeled 'Drillthrough' in the context menu
  • Hover over 'Drillthrough', and a submenu will appear with the available detailed view, filtered based on the data point selected

Within the 'List of Projects' report drillthrough, you will be able to see 'Transaction Detail'.

Within the 'List of Awards' report drillthrough, you will be able to see 'Invoicing detail'.

Returning from Drillthrough -

After you have drilled through to a detailed page, you can return to the previous summary view by clicking the 'Back' button at the top-left corner of the report.

NOTE: As some of these drillthroughs share reports, the 'back' arrow at the top left of the report may not always work.

Exporting -

Exporting data from a report to Excel is useful when you need to perform further analysis.

Exporting a Visual/Table

  • Hover over the visual or table from which you want to export data.
  • In the top-right corner of the visual, you will see a small ellipsis (three dots). Click on it.
  • From the dropdown menu, select 'Export data' and keep 'Data with current layout' selected and click Export.

Exporting Selected Data

You can also click on specific data points within a visual before exporting. This will filter the export to only include the selected data.

Follow the same steps as above to export, but now the file will only contain the data relevant to your selection.

Interacting with visuals -

Slicers

Slicers are visual filters that allow you to select specific data ranges, categories, or time periods directly from the report.

Simply click on the slicer buttons or dropdowns to filter the report instantly.

Cross-Highlighting

When you click on a bar, pie slice or other visual elements, it may automatically cross-highlight related data in other visuals on the same page. This feature helps you see how one data point affects others across different charts and graphs.

Refreshing & Resetting Data -

Data refreshes everyday, but you are also able to refresh the report to see the latest data. Look for the 'Refresh' Icon, typically at the top of the report or in the app's toolbar.

The reset view arrow at the top right of the report is a useful way to clear any applied filters or slicers and return the report to its default state.
