digital learning

The use of technology to enhance students' learning experience has become a vibrant area that universities focus on when it comes to practice and research. The College’s Digital Strategy centres around three aspects – using technology to transform student learning, pioneering new ways of learning and widening digital participation through providing access to the College learning experience beyond the campus.

The Centre’s research activities are aligned with the Digital Strategy and focus on evidencing impact of new technological and pedagogical interventions on students’ learning and wellbeing as well as investigating the bidirectionality of effective pedagogies between online and face to face settings. As personal technologies are becoming an inextricable part of students’ educational experience, we are interested in investigating the complex interplay between the formal and informal, and physical and online learning spaces. We also recognise the need to take a broader social, cultural and institutional perspective on technology integration and acceptance of innovation. As such our research focuses on factors that contribute to and impede adoption of new technologies and pedagogies.
