All students are advised early in the application process about the costs of living in London, so the assumption should be that if they enroll at Imperial, they are fully aware of the costs associated with studying here.
However, circumstances change, and very often these are not under the control of the student. For example, exchange rates fluctuate, governments change their policies about bursaries and families who are supporting their children through College can run into unexpected financial problems. All these can and do cause financial problems for our students.
Lots of detailed advice is available and the best place to start looking is the College website's Fees and funding section. These pages include information on issues such as money management, government funding and loans, scholarships and financial support for students in need.
- Students and staff can also get help from the Student Hub. Appointments can be booked online.
- Student Support Zone, Imperial's student support website, directs students on where to go for financial advice.
- The Imperial College Union Advice Centre offers money advice and information on consumer rights.
