Haining Luo
Haining is a PhD student at the Personal Robotics Lab since October 2020, fully sponsored by the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
His research interests span from visual perception, 3D model construction, to path planning and robot learning. His current focus is on manipulating deformable objects with assistive robots. He received his MSc degree with distinction in Control Systems from Imperial College in 2018 with the thesis topic “Robot Manipulation of Deformable Objects: Robot Shoe Lacing”, under the supervision of Professor Yiannis Demiris. He received his BEng from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, China.
