Work description
My MPhil focuses on developing algorithms/mathematical model using high-performance computers to model laminar to turbulent transition flow in an engineering way (RANS modelling). My PhD project uses DNS (direct numerical simulation) database combining with a high-order statistical equation (Karman-Howarth-Monin-Hill equation) to explore potential physical mechanism (inter-scale energy transfer) during the laminar-to-turbulent transition.
