The Light Community

In Light Community we pursue research in fundamental science and technology that exploits the versatility and diversity provided by optics. Our programmes encompass biomedical imaging and diagnosis, nanotechnology and nanophotonics, quantum computing and quantum optics, quantum optomechanics, ultrashort pulse laser technology, studies of intense fields, high harmonic generation and attosecond science, inertial fusion studies, laser particle acceleration and UV- to X-ray source development, nonlinear optics, quantum technology for studies of fundamental physics, and laser source development for wider industrial applications.
