Thursday evening Policy Seminars
As part of the MSc course, the Centre holds a regular series of Thursday evening Policy Seminars given by a range of speakers from areas including government, industry and non-government organisations who come to talk about their particular involvement in the environmental field.
The Thursday evening Policy Seminars are of great value, as they provide a prime opportunity for informal socialising and networking.
External speakers range from international experts to course alumni, with their contribution ensuring coverage of current issues; role models for students; possibility of placement-style dissertation research; source of job announcements. All of these contributions clearly enhance preparedness of graduates for employment in the environmental field.
The Policy Seminar programme for the Autumn Term will be held on the following Thursdays at 5.00pm .Policy seminars will also continue in the Spring Term.
All students are expected to attend these policy seminars, as they provide valuable information and insight into integrating the Core Course material, and material that is potentially examinable in the Core Course Exams.
