Smart fresh markets
Local wet markets remain the number one source for protective foods, particularly in the developing world and economies in transition. As wet markets are responsible for feeding so many people on our planet, how can policymakers enhance their benefit to the local communities and to society at large? What sort of systems need to be put in place by governments to encourage the expansion of local and community markets with the aim of providing the population with quality protective foods?
