Yanan Su
My name is Yanan Su and I am from China. I have studied in Xiamen University and University of Birmingham, so I have an energy science and engineering, nuclear science and materials backgrounds. The Molecular Engineering programme aims to present an opportunity to engineer better molecular systems, responding to today's challenges, which is exactly in line with my academic pursuit. Also, this new programme provides students with a combination of taught modules and a research project with industry and I have a great passion for this, and believe it will prepare me to work in multi-disciplinary teams. When talking about the future, there's always a lot of uncertainty. I am planning that if I could find a project which I am really interested in during my postgraduate stage, I will apply for a PhD to learn in depth about it. I am also considering returning to China and find a position in the research and development department of a relevant indsutry to apply what I have learnt to reality.
In my spare time, I enjoy watching films and listening to music. My favorite film is named Coco and I have watched it for many times. It always reminds me of many precious memories in the past. I also like watching table tennis very much, though I'm not really very good at it.
