Stuart Clough
I am a Honorary Teaching Fellow within the Department/Division of Surgery & Cancer, Faculty of Medicine since November 2024. I have a primary responsibility for developing and delivering the ‘Measuring and Improving Performance in Healthcare Systems Module on the Health Policy MSc programme.
My substantive role is at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust where I am a Senior Associate Director for Continuous Improvement. I have been trained by the Institute for Healthcare Improvement, completing their Improvement Advisor Professional Development programme and also completing the Virginia Mason Advanced Process Improvement Practitioner programme. I have extensive knowledge of providing Quality Improvement Advisor support to enable teams to make changes for the better of patient outcomes. My key expertise include: leading and delivering large scale change programmes, creating workforce capacity and capability for Quality Improvement and developing organisational culture for Continuous Improvement.
I have recently collaborated with the iCare Team on the adoption of the ‘Scale, Spread and Embed’ project.
