Our research team explores the processing, microstructure and performance of alloys for industries such as aerospace, automotive, nuclear power generation, large-scale industrial processes, and electronics.
This work addresses challenges including: reduction in CO2 generation, development and manufacture of lighter and higher performance alloys; improvements in safety and lifetime prediction through physical understanding of deformation processes; emerging applications of metallurgy in electronics; and improvements in the life cycle of alloys, reducing energy consumption through reuse and recycling.
