The Faculties of Engineering, Medicine and Natural Sciences and the Business School have central offices which coordinate activities across all of their departments. Analysts on a placement in a Faculty Office will usually report direct to the Faculty Finance Officer. Faculty placements offer trainees an insight into the role of a Faculty within the College.

Aspects of the Placement Role could include:
- Contributing to the budget preparation for the 5-year financial plan
- Liaising with departments and analysing actual performance against budgeted performance to encourage better forecasting
- Undertaking a payroll project to ensure Honorariums were being appropriately accounted for
Academic Technology Approval Scheme (ATAS)
With effect from 21 May 2021, any individual who will be undertaking research activities, at PhD level or above, in one of the Academic Subjects/Fields of Research relevant to ATAS will be required to obtain a free of charge ATAS certificate before they can apply for a visa to work in the UK. This will include research, academic, engineering and technician staff applying for Skilled Worker visas. Some exemptions apply.
