Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for the Recruitment Hub are designed to ensure efficient processing times at each key stage of recruitment—from reviewing recruitment requests to advertising roles and issuing contracts.
The SLAs below cover all roles managed by the Recruitment Hub, with the exception of senior appointments, including Associate Professor, Reader, Chair, Senior and Principal Research Fellows, and Professional level 7 and above. Separate SLAs are established for these senior roles.
Recruitment Hub SLAs
Stage of Process | SLA and Description |

General queries | We will respond to general queries to the Recruitment Hub within 3 working days. |
New recruitment requests | New recruitment requests will be processed and sent for approval within 5 working days. |
Advertising a job | Once all approvals are completed, we will post your job on the Imperial Jobs Page within 2 working days. |
Shortlisting | We will email you instructions on shortlisting the first working day after the advert closes. |
Interview arrangements | We will email interview invites to candidates within 4 working days of being notified of the shortlist and interview arrangements. |
Processing an offer | When we have received the completed Request to Hire form, we will submit this for finance/department/Research approval within 2 working days. |
Issuing conditional contracts | We will issue a conditional contract of employment within 3 working days from receipt of approval. |
Confirmation of unconditional offer | We will confirm via email that the offer is no longer conditional within 2 working days of pre-employment conditions being met. |
