The Future of Physics: Presentations from Lecturer and Senior Lecturer Candidates is a special series of talks showcasing the innovative ideas, and research visions of candidates vying for the positions of Lecturer and Senior Lecturer in Physics. This event offers a unique opportunity to engage with the next generation of academic leaders, as they present their research.
The 25 minute talks are to be aimed at the comprehension level of a final year Physics undergraduate student, and there will be 5 minutes for questions after each talk. We encourage all staff, undergraduate and postgraduate students to come along and have the opportunity to provide feedback on all candidates. We will provide a tool for feedback at each of the four days of talks.
Join us for this exciting series of presentations, where you’ll not only get a glimpse of the future of the discipline but also participate in shaping the direction of physics education and research at the university.
Presentations from different candidates will take place over 4 days in January; 6th, 8th, 13th and 15th.
