All Saints and All Souls
This week’s Evensong for All Souls is a time to remember family and friends who have died. With an anthem by Amy Beach, elements from Frank Martin’s Mass for Double Choir, and concluding with John Taverner’s Song for Athene.
College Evensong is sung by Imperial’s student Chamber Choir. It is an ancient pattern of evening prayer combining music, words, and silence to create a time for personal reflection and stillness (whatever your faith or worldview). The services regularly use music written by current students and women composers.
