Bringing together staff and research students working on key policy challenges including climate change, energy security, affordability and energy for development. Members share a common interest in exploring the relationship between socio-ecological systems, transformative low-carbon technologies, assessment tools and policy development. They are involved in developing the assessment tools and elaborating the empirical evidence base that decision-makers need to make effective decisions, whilst seeking to impact on the future direction of policy and international regulations. It works as an incubator of activities and ideas for project proposals and a facilitator of collaborations with the Grantham Institute and the Energy Futures Lab.
