Functional Nano/Bio-Material Composites

Abstract
In contemporary product design, a dynamic transformation unfolds as the world become responsive to environments and human interaction. Designers integrate advanced touch-sensitive controls, augmented reality displays, and interactive surfaces, enhancing connectivity and intuitiveness. Digital innovations outpace the evolution of biomaterial design. Simultaneously, eco-conscious choices replace traditional options, bolstering environmental responsibility. However, there is a big disconnect between sustainability and immersive materials with very few research links electrochemical functionalisation and biomaterials. This research seeks to create sustainable conductive substrates for innovative, eco-friendly touch-sensitive substrates, for a variety of product designs in footwear, apparel and automotive contexts.
