Max is an Imperial College alumnus, currently working for Akamai Technologies on their Linux Performance Team - part of the Linux Kernel Team. He works on performance problems across Akamai’s product portfolio. Akamai is the worlds largest content delivery network, comprising over 250000 servers across 6 continents.

Akamai powers Apple Private relay, in this talk we discuss technologies Akamai uses to optimize network throughout for the apple private relay service. These technologies include SR-IOV, PCI-Passthrough, and Firewall rule offloading. This talk will cover the Linux kernels networking stack, and the overheads associated with virtualisation .
