Abstract
Working in software at scale faces unique challenges. In this talk, Fernanda will talk about some of those and explain how such challenges make large scale one of the most interesting challenges to work on in technology and infrastructure.

Fernanda Weiden is an Engineering Manager in at Facebook’s Production Engineering team, working on scalability, reliability and efficiency of infrastructure services for Ads and Security related initiatives. Fernanda is Brazilian and currently based in London. Fernanda joined Facebook in May 2012. Prior to Facebook, Fernanda worked at Google in Switzerland, and IBM in São Paulo.
