Abstract

Software Defined Networking (SDN) and Network Function Virtualisation (NfV) are two major trends in the networking industry. Both technologies are having a significant impact on the way in which networks are built which in turn is challenging traditional approaches to how networks are secured. This talk will aim to introduce both SDN and NfV concepts and then progress to looking at the two technologies both in terms of what they mean to the design of security as well as the security risks they introduce.
