Engage with our students

Recruit our students

Our students are keen to take on industrial placements during holiday periods. We also internally advertise graduate positions to those coming to the end of their studies. We run an annual meet the industry event where you can engage with our students, raise your profile, and let them know of any upcoming opportunities. Find out more about student recruitment

Outreach and Public Engagement

We undertake Outreach activities with the primary aim of getting young people excited by civil engineering and the prospect of studying it here at Imperial.

Examples include TV appearances by John Burland (The One Show and Michael Portillo's Great Continental Rail Journeys) and Ahmer Wadee (Engineering Connections), occasional school visits and involvement in external schemes including Royal Institution Masterclasses, ICE Christmas School Lectures and Budding Brunel, Arkwright Scholars and Headstart sessions.

Within College we also take part in the Imperial Festival and Imperial Fringe events. If you are interested in collaborating with the Department in this way, please contact our Outreach coordinator, Ana Mijic
