Head of Department
The Head of Department (HoD) is Professor Nilay Shah who is responsible for leading, managing and developing the Department to ensure it achieves the highest possible standards of excellence in all its activities. The HoD is ultimately accountable for the successful provision of education, research, resources and operations of the Department. The Head of Department reports to the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering.
Executive Committee
The Executive Committe provides strategic direction and overseas overall performance and delivery. It focuses on strategic leadership, management and direction, ensuring the most effective prioritisition of resources. It is the overall decision-making body for performance and delivery. The Executive Committee is informed by the Academic Staff meeting, the Professional Staff meeting, the Research Staff meeting and the various Committees of the Department.
Composition of the Executive Committee:
Head of Department (Chair), Director of Postgraduate Studies, Director of Undergraduate Studies, Director of Research, Director of Resources, Department Operations Manager (Secretary).
