Dr Michael Weatherburn delivered a 3-hour seminar on futures: forecasting and scenario planning for the MSc Environmental Technology, a degree which has run for 47 years, led by Dr Mike Tennant.
The class was part of the MSc's Business and the Environment option. Students aim to critically understand how contemporary businesses tackle sustainability challenges, and how they should creatively think about tackling them in the future. Michael drew on aspects of his Y3 I-Explore History of Science, Tech and Industry class: and his CLCC seminar looking at evidenced-based approaches to futures with Dr Mark Pope.
The 22 students were a diverse mixture of professional experiences and academic specialisms, including Politics, Accounting, Chinese Studies, Engineering and Natural Sciences.
