Two Biology undergraduates travelled to Sri-Lanka and spent twelve weeks making a representative collection of land mollusc species in twenty-four discrete areas in the tropical rain forest. They had the support of conservationists at the University of Colombo and with the guidance in London of the Curator of land molluscs at the National History Museum, where the detailed identification of specimens is currently being carried out by the students.
