Have an Imperial connection in your online correspondence

Your Imperial degree is something to be proud of. Shout it from the rooftops every time you send an email by using an exclusive address, only available to alumni.

Your new email address will end in @alumni.imperial.ac.uk.

The mailbox is hosted by Google and works like a regular Gmail account.

Update September 2024:

We wrote to alumni account holders in August 2023 to let them know that from September 2023, alumni accounts would lose access to Google Drive and Photos associated with that account, and that account holders would need to reduce the storage they are using to 1.5GB to ensure continued access to their account and files.

Alumni who are still using in excess of 1.5GB of storage across their email, Drive and Photos, will now have their accounts deleted unless their storage is reduced to 1.5GB by Monday 14 October.

What happens next?

• If your storage across your alumni email account, Drive and Photos still exceeds 1.5GB storage on Monday 14 October, the account will be deleted.
• If you reduce the storage to under 1.5GB, your account will not be deleted.
• From Monday 14 October, access to Google Drive and Photos from your alumni account will be switched off.
• Once the account has been deleted, we can set up a new account for you, with the same email address and a storage limit of 1.5GB. Please note, all files associated with the previous account will have been deleted.

Important note: we recommend that you migrate your storage to another server or drive in order to avoid losing access to your files and account. We have been informed that a transfer could take a number of days for those using a large amount of storage, so we recommend you do this immediately.
