What does the AHEP and Imperial College institutional partnership mean for staff?

An AHEP institutional partnership with Imperial College London is providing Professional Service staff with a holistic range of benefits, encompassing talent attraction and retention, elevating the expertise of the professional services community, fostering sector-wide collaboration, championing higher education advocacy, and affording individual staff members advantageous offerings like reduced membership costs, robust career support, a well-defined path for career advancement, and opportunities for personal and professional networking and development.

Professional Service staff will benefit from the following:

  • AHEP is providing a 20% discount on membership for all staff. Imperial has topped this up with a 50% discount on membership for the first 100 members that sign up;
  • 100 free spaces to access learning and development events across the year (attendance will be facilitated by Aabida Patel – Imperial College Institutional Ambassador to AHEP)
  • 5 Imperial AHEP members will be able to attend the 2025 Annual Conference for free (travel and accommodation costs not covered);
  • Access to a wide variety of networks and Special Interest Groups;
  • Imperial College will also receive specialist consulting services from AHEP.

What are the different types of memberships I can access?
There are several different types of membership levels staff can access.

How can I access the membership?

New Members - AHEP is currently working on having self-registration with discounts being applied automatically, but that functionality isn’t live yet on their website. To access membership discount, please email AHEP at hello@ahep.ac.uk with the following information:

  • Full Name
  • Job Title
  • Email Address
  • Membership Level

For existing members - You all will be getting discounts to your memberships, as well as refunds from the start of the partnership agreement that commenced in August 2024.
