Project Overview
Please note, this project is now closed.
Casual workers are an essential part of the College’s workforce, providing flexibility of scale and enabling the College to provide work opportunities to students while they study. In the management of casual workers, we must comply with employment and immigration regulations in order to avoid the risk of civil or criminal action, including the revocation of our sponsor licence.
The Casual Worker Compliance project implemented a new operating model for the management of casual workers, including:
- The introduction of a dedicated Casual Worker Compliance Team
- New processes for the setup and ongoing management of casual workers
- A review of College policy for casual workers to ensure that all legal and regulatory requirements are detailed
- A new system to support the onboarding of casual workers and enable online timesheet management
The project is now closed.
- The Casual Worker Team (aka Temporary Workforce Services) onboards new workers, issue contracts and support hiring departments and workers.
- The Casual Work Management App is used by staff to trigger the onboarding of new workers, set up work assignments and approve timesheets for payment.
- The Casual Worker Timesheet App is used by workers to submit timesheets for payment.
