  • using maps and geographical information in a range of applications
  • managing geographical information in a database.

ArcGIS can be accessed primarily by ArcGIS Pro or ArcGIS Online.

ArcGIS Pro is available on the Software Hub.

ArcGIS Online (AGOL) can be accessed via their online portal. If you require access and are unable to log in, please contact the ICT Service Desk.

What about ArcMap?

ESRI, the supplier of ArcGIS, have been encouraging the GIS community to move from ArcMap (ArcGIS Desktop) to ArcGIS Pro and AGOL.

ArcMap and ArcGIS Pro Single Use/Concurrent Use licences will not be offered via the Environmental Science Research Institute's (Esri) Education Program after 1 July 2024.
