By entering the prize draw, the entrant agrees to comply with these terms. Failure to comply with these terms may result in disqualification.
Eligibility
- The prize draw is open to current undergraduate students at Imperial College London (Imperial) who are at least 18 years of age at the time of entry.
- If your name is drawn, we will contact you for your Imperial College Identifier number (CID) to confirm that you are a current undergraduate student. If you are not, you are not eligible to receive the prize and we will draw another name.
Entry Procedure
- The prize draw is free to enter.
- Each participant is limited to two entries in the prize draw.
- To enter the prize draw, you must
- Like the prize draw post pinned to the Taste Imperial Instagram feed (@tasteimperial),
- Follow @tasteimperial on Instagram
- Share the prize draw post on your Instagram Story
- If you have not completed all three steps, your entry is not valid.
- A second entry may be gained by posting a photo of your Taste Imperial Welcome Week booklet with all five deal stamps completed on Instagram Feed or Stories and tagging @tasteimperial.
- By entering, you consent to any personal information you provide in the prize draw being used for the purposes of administering the prize draw.
- Any personal information provided by entrants when entering will be used solely for the purposes of administering and fulfilling the prize draw, and in accordance with Imperial’s Privacy Policy.
Entry Period
- The Prize draw will commence on Saturday 28 September 2024 at 9am and close on Thursday 31 October 2024 at 11.59pm. Entries received outside of this time will not be accepted.
- We are not responsible for any technical issues that may result in an entry not being received for any reason.
The Prize
- The prize for the prize draw is a “Taste Imperial Gold Card”. There are two available.
- The winner’s college ID will be loaded with the price of a standard student main meal (at time of writing £6.27) every day until the end of the academic year (27 June 2025), redeemable at participating Taste Imperial food & drink outlets.
- This is valid at the following Taste Imperial Outlets: Business School Café, La Cantina, Chemistry Café, College Café, Lumen Café, Ex Libris Café, Feast, Hào Chī, Huxley Café, Library Café, MRC Café, MSRH Café, Neo Pizza & Pasta, Plantworks @ SCR, Queen's Tower Rooms, Reynolds Café, Royal School of Mines Café, SCR Restaurant, The Loud Bird, The Bakery, The Roastery, The Works, Wolfson Restaurant.
- If a transaction or meal totalling higher than the daily allowance is made, any difference must be paid by the individual. If less than the daily allowance is used, no change will be given and the allowance does not roll over or accrue.
- In the result of university closure, outlet closure or technical issues preventing the winner from using their allowance, we are not liable to replace in kind. Please note that there are times across university holidays during which all outlets are closed.
- If the cost of a standard student main meal increases or decreases at any time, the daily allowance will be changed accordingly to reflect this.
- If you lose your ID card, you must report it immediately to the ID office by emailing card@imperial.ac.ukwith your CID or card number, in accordance with Imperial Security policy. We are not responsible for any fraudulent use of the card should it be lost or stolen, and any allowance used will not be replaced.
- The prize is non-transferrable, non-exchangeable and there is no cash alternative available. The winner must be present to use the card.
- If at any point the winner’s status as a student at Imperial changes, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize.
- We reserve the right to impose additional reasonable conditions related to the prize if necessary.
Claiming your prize
- The winners will be drawn at random from all valid entries made on or before 31 October 2024 within 7 days.
- We will contact the winner through the Instagram account used to enter by Friday 8 November 2024.
- We will request the winner’s CID and confirm that the winner is a current undergraduate student at Imperial.
- On successful confirmation, we will contact the winner to let them know when the daily allowance has been added to their existing Imperial ID card, no later than 31 November 2024.
- If we cannot confirm that the winner is a current undergraduate student at Imperial, their entry is not valid and we will inform them so and draw another name.
- We will attempt to contact the winner up to two times. If they do not respond to our message within 14 days of our second contact, they will lose their rights to the prize and we reserve the right to draw a new winner.
General Terms
- We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by any entrants as a result of either participating in the prize draw or being selected for a prize.
- We reserve the right to cancel the prize draw or amend these terms and conditions at any time, without prior notice.
- The prize draw and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
