There are a number of groups and networks for women across College, focusing on different areas and needs.
The Women's Club provides social opportunities for women from across the College to meet and network. Working lunches take place in February, May and November, and a book discussion group, as well as a day events group, meet throughout the year.
The Women in STEM group is open to all students and staff and has a range of aims and activities, including providing opportunities for personal and professional growth. The group is affiliated to the national Women's Engineering Society (WES).
The Women in Engineering network meets termly and provides an environment for women across the Faculty to socialise and discuss a range of topics from career progression, overcoming obstacles, to recognising achievements.
The Academic Women Association (AWA) in the Faculty of Medicine aims to establish an environment in which women feel empowered to discuss and plan their career progression. An effective networking system between women can encourage junior researchers to pursue careers in leadership roles in and outside academia.
The Society aims to create a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive network for women and non-binary people working and studying in physics.
The I-X Women in Artificial Intelligence (IX-WAI) network is dedicated to empowering women, non-binary people and other gender-discriminated groups in the field of artificial intelligence. IX-WAI aims to create a supportive and inclusive network that champions career advancement, addresses challenges, and fosters connections across all career stages.
Move Imperial facilitates a Menopause Staff Network, using Teams. The network aims to be a supportive community where you can share experiences, access resources, and learn more about the menopause.
