The Global Development Hub runs a Student Placement Scheme to provide formative placement opportunities for our students in partner organisations and international development agencies.
A number of agreements have been set-up with development-focused organisations to support UG, PGT and PGR placements. Funding is available through the UK Turing scheme to partially support bursaries for placements that co-develop solutions for locally formulated challenges in LDCs and LMICs and embed research and innovation skills with global relevance.
- African Institute of Mathematical Sciences (AIMs) *PGR only
- United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Accelerator Labs in LMICs and LDCs

The Global Development Hub is committed to developing a set of scholarships and fellowships to support students from LMICs and LDCs to undertake placements in Imperial College London labs (e.g as part of our 8 week International Research Opportunities Programme (IROP).
The first of these includes the new Shawki Saad scholarship available to PhD students from sub-Saharan Africa, joining the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Imperial.
